A Mr Kisika, a pastor, said the refugees had been forced to sell part of their relief food in order to buy other essential goods like cooking fat, paraffin and vegetables.
�They don�t give us any cash to buy other commodities, leading us to sell some of our relief supplies,� the pastor said.
The refugees appealed to the UNHCR to give them the money they had been promised when they came back from Uganda.
Latrines
They said a form, which they had filled out while they were in Uganda, was handed over to the officer in charge at Malaba.
At the same time, parents at Malaba primary school want the displaced people moved because they fear they will fill up the school�s latrines.
�We want them moved because they have caused a lot of problems in our school,� they said. more
Jehan Sadat, former first lady of Egypt and widow of slain Egyptian leader Anwar Sadat, encouraged those attending a recent campus forum to live lives of peace and love.
The forum, titled “Women Shaping and Changing the World,” was presented in the University of Central Florida’s Pegasus Ballroom on Nov. 13. About 650 people attended. The event was organized by the UCF Global Perspectives Office.
“I believe in the peace and rights of women and individuals,”‘ said Sadat, 74. “It’s my duty to speak and further my husband’s work.”

Qawal parties, which love to sing Punjabi mystics, performed for almost three hours at the colour-changing beautiful stage. The lofty notes of powerful Qawals had charged the audience which were in hundreds. It was a show of complete harmony as the sound of clapping from the stage and from among the audience was becoming one. Some people were dancing and some eddying heads. The echo of �Allah Hu� was reigning supreme. Javed Bashir and party, Sher Miandad and party, Rizwan Moazzam and party and Mehr Ali Sher Ali and party took their time to convey the melodious message of Sufi saints. They did it successfully. Though they presented both Urdu and Punjabi poetry, it was Baba Farid and Bulleh Shah who cast an irresistible spell on the listeners. Even for those who don�t properly understand Punjabi, the soul of Punjab�s great Sufis� greatest poetry was reachable. more
